In a study of 768 college students, a privacy note and a limits warning raised cautious trust — but the students read descriptions, not real conversations.
Students already bring their stress, their sleepless nights and their study pressure to generative AI chatbots. In the study, students were asked to imagine that their university had introduced a chatbot that could answer general questions about stress, sleep, study pressure, emotional regulation and where to find help.
